Cattle individual worm count test kit
Cattle individual worm count test kit
This test is for 1 Animal
The worm egg count test done on your cow dung sample will measure the number of worm eggs in the sample. This then gives us a good indication of how many active egg laying adult worms are in your cow's gut, and let you know if it is necessary to worm your cow's. It is important to worm only when necessary, as using less drugs will slow down the inevitable resistance that develops from overuse of the worming products.
Each Kit Includes
1 pair of disposable gloves for collection process
1 collection pot for faecal sample
1 Testing voucher must be completed and returned with sample .One voucher for each sample submitted.please include the tag number of the animal.
The test results you receive will determine whether you need to give a wormer or not. Some tests will indicate a level of parasitic burden present in the animal and it will be accepted that a small number is acceptable or even beneficial to stimulating the immune system. Other parasites are more dangerous and any indication of infection will warrant worming treatment. you can show your results to your veterinary practice or wormer supplier with an sqp and they can advise on the best wormer to use if your results show it is needed.
